I will work with you to prepare a delicious meal in your kitchen to your specification and all the time you will be developing your culinary skills. I want to show you that cooking can be good fun, rewarding and good value.
Do you love going to dinner parties but feel that you cannot invite your friends back? I can help to give you the skill and confidence to give the perfect dinner party. Don’t worry, a wonderful dinner party does not have to be excessively complicated and it should give you time to be with your guests and not stuck in the kitchen.
The process we’ll go through is this:
Consultation; we’ll first discuss the practicalities of your dinner party
Theme; you may want to think of a style of cooking to please you as much as the guests
Menu planning; we’ll go through all the courses and I’ll help you draw up the shopping list
Sourcing / storing; I can advise you where to shop and what can be bought in advance
Timing; many dishes can be prepared in advance, allowing you more time with your guests as well as spreading the workload
Preparation; I will show you the best way to prepare the ingredients and how far each dish can be prepared in advance
Execution; this is the hardest one as you will be cooking, but I’ll be with you to hand advice
Wine / drinks; I can help you choose the best wines to suit your budget and help you get the meal off to a good start with pre-dinner drinks
Trouble shooting; I’ll be at the end of a phone if you need that extra bit of help
